With more and more cars coming into the market we are seeing more focus on global design as companies are vying for more global sales. The moment we are at now is how can car manufacturers for 2013 going to be able to deliver efficiency with drivability. Consumers don’t all wish to have to drive around in a car that although good on gas mileage is slow and unable to provide any spirited driving when need be and for that reason we are seeing individuals still looking for cars that can maintain this balance. With more focus on combustion and raising compression ratios we are seeing direct injection cylinder heads that are taking the trickle down technology from racing engine design and putting it towards our daily drivers thus giving us a more powerful car with better response yet it also is more efficient and gives off less emissions. There are many different cars 2013 that will offer such engine designs and with the coupling of a direct injection heads with variable valve timing we should see a small displacement engine delivering some impressive numbers for us this year. We will however also see more CVT transmissions as well as these continuously variable transmission gain reliability and efficiency. All in all we are seeing more engineering coming first and less penny pinching and this type ability for power coupled with lighter and stronger chassis should make for some really great cars in the future of cars 2013 and beyond.
